Moldova celebrates 35 years of independence at a defining point in its history. The first chapter established a sovereign state. The next must turn that independence into stronger institutions, sustainable prosperity and European integration. As Honorary Consul of the Republic of Moldova in Manchester, I congratulate Moldovans at home and across the world. I also invite British businesses, investors, universities and travellers to look beyond Moldova’s size and examine its talent, resilience and strategic position between the European Union and Ukraine.
